Kohart University of Science and Technology (KUST) is a public university located in Kohar District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan. It was established in 2001. The university was opened by Lieutenant General Said Iftikhar Hussein Shah, Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.
History
KUST has obtained the status of a degree-granting institution, see NWFP Decree No. XXIII of and the subsequent notice No. 1 (12) 2001/4451-56 of August 30, 2001.
The school has four research institutes-the Institute of Information Technology, the Institute of Management Science, the Institute of Education and Research, and the Department of Microbiology. These schools offered two-year and four-year bachelor’s degrees and two-year master’s degrees in 2004. Later, the university adopted the establishment of physics, chemistry, botany, zoology (Dr. Farzana Parveen from the beginning and proposed it), and microbiology. These departments offer B.S. (Hons.), M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs.
The first vice president of the university was Professor Sher Ali Khan Shinwari.
So KUST is ranked 22nd in the general category ranked by the Higher Education Commission (Pakistan).

Admissions for Kohat University of Science and Technology Session 2023 have been announced. The university is not private sector and all degrees are certified by the Higher Education Commission. Kohat University Of Science And Technology (KUST) Spring Admission 2023
The university announced a major requirement for all departments that students must appear for the GAT test and then be eligible for admission. This condition is also for students who want to enroll in the fifth semester of the BS degree program.
