The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Swat has a mandate to conduct SSC and HSSC level annual and supply examinations in Swat district and all adjoining areas. All public and private schools and colleges in these areas are affiliated to BISE Malakand, while thousands of regular students and many other private candidates from these institutions participate in the annual examinations of Class 9, 10, 11, and 12 under Malakand Board every year.
The Swat Board conducts annual examinations of Class IX and Class X in the months of March and April, while annual examinations for Class XI and Class XII are held in the months of May and June each year. The written papers of Matric and Inter examinations are taken by the Board in the months of March and May respectively while the practical papers of these two classes are conducted after the written papers.
