Sargodha Medical College is a public medical school located in Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan. But It is a constituent college of the University of Sargodha. In addition to this, it also offers AHS undergraduate degrees in radiology, pathology, operating room technology (surgery), and public health disciplines. It also offers a five-year undergraduate degree in physical therapy called the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), which affiliates with the University of Sargodha.

History

Sargodha Medical School establishes in 2006 as a constituent college of Sargodha University. So It is the only public medical school in Sargodha. In the first few years, the courses arrange in different university lecture halls, and a block of the university name after the college to temporarily accommodate the college and its management until its own building was under construction.

The Institute’s academic building completes in 2011 and opens by the then Prime Minister of Pakistan Yusuf Raza Gilani. It is located on the main Faisalabad Road, facing the beautiful Mount Kirana. So the Sargodha Regional Headquarters Hospital affiliated with the Punjab State Government of Pakistan used as a university teaching hospital and upgraded to a tertiary care level. So the college operates under the administrative control of the University of Sargodha.
