National University of Science and Technology (NUST) Romanization: Islamabad, Pakistan. The university offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, including doctoral and professional degrees. It establishes in 1991 and initially jointly established with the Engineering College. And School of the Pakistan Armed Forces to meet the needs of appointed officers. History

NUST establishes in 1991, combining military and civilian educational resources. After development, the existing military academies became the constituent colleges of the National University of Science and Technology. In 1991, the first college affiliated with NUST was MCS. In 1993, the university obtained a charter, and CEME and MCE became part of the university. So In December 1994 and November 1995, CAE and PNEC became part of NUST, respectively. In September 1997, all constituent colleges upgrades and CAE opened MS courses. So In 1998, PNEC opened an MS course, and in the same year. And AMC opened a bachelor’s degree in dental surgery.

But In 1999, CEME and CAE obtained ISO 9001 certification, the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS) establishes in Islamabad, and the NUST Business School (NBS, formerly NIMS) establishes. The School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (SMME) offers degrees in mechanical and biomedical engineering and is one of the most competitive engineering schools in Pakistan.

As of 2016, NUST has enrolled more than 15,000 full-time students, more than 20 departments, and more than 1,280 faculty and staff. It ranks among the top 50 universities under the age of 50 by QS World Rankings and one of the top 4000 universities in the world by QS. According to the 2021 QS World Ranking, it is the number one university in Pakistan. It also ranks among the top 300 in the electrical engineering world by QS and the top 500 in business research and mathematics.

NUST is the first model university established by the Ministry of Science and Technology, just like the Korean Academy of Science and Technology. After Pakistan became independent in 1947, training military doctors became one of the first tasks of the new government. In 1947, the Military Signal Academy establishes as the Signal Academy. So In the same year, the Signal Academy was upgraded to an academy. In 1981, CEME opened the BSc course, giving it the status of a university. A few years later, in April 1984, CEME moved from Quetta to its current location in Rawalpindi. In May 1986, CAE was transferred to the PAF College in Risalpur.
